At our in-person Tactical Interview trainings, we not only walk participants through each interview type, we give them the opportunity to practice it! We create realistic setups with broadcast-quality equipment to demonstrate and try out the types of interview situations communicators will face in the real world.
Meet The Instructors
Karen Terrill is President of Media Survival Group. With an extensive career as a TV broadcaster and Public Information Officer for CalFire, Karen has conducted hundreds of PIO trainings across the U.S. and Hawaii. She understands the issues PIOs face on a daily basis, and is an expert on what's required to handle the media in crisis situations. Her company offers trainings for PIOs who would serve in emergency operations centers during disasters of all kinds.
Kerry Shearer, "The Livestream Expert", has worked with Media Survival Group since 2010. Kerry has deep experience in broadcasting and served as a Public Information Officer Information Officer and Media Specialist for a utility and for the County of Sacramento. He's an expert on video, media response, smartphone tech, and how to look and sound your best in media interviews.
